ART Opening at Café des Amis, Breaux Bridge, La.

In our continuing art installations, Artists in Acadiana,

on Thursday April 12, 2012 Café des Amis will

celebrate the art of local Breaux Bridge resident,

Professor Lynda Frese. The work is a retrospective

Of Lynda’s collage mixed media. Her book will also

be on sale. The Image shown is Irish Mist.

Lynda will also feature a posture of Lake Martin entitled

“Cosmic Lake Martin”. A percentage of the price will be donated

To the BasinKeepers by Professor Frese.

Our commitment at the Café is to feature an experienced

Artist with an up an coming young artist at each show.

The show will also feature the work of Randi Willet who is a

recent graduate of the Visual Arts Program at UL. Randi

Currently resides in New Orleans. Her piece shown

Is entitled Sacrosanct Excommunication.

Daniel Gale will perform at the opening.

Complimentary h’ors deuvres and wine will be served.

Get to the Cafe this Thursday between 6:00pm and 7:00pm for the first art opening for Artists Of Acadiana.  This will be a returning series of shows with a commitment to featuring quality fine art with recognized accomplished Artists, combined with an up an coming Artist. Kelly Guidry, Artist and local renowned sculptor, will feature his work ...in wood and metal.Also featuring Leah Graeff, a recent graduate of ULL is a photographer with a Visual Arts degree . Her new series is romantic, haunting and perfect for Valentine Day gifts. Wine and hors d' ouevres will be served. Restaurant is open for dinner.

Daniel Gale, well known Violin/Fiddle player will entertain during the art opening. Daniel has played all over the U.S., Canada, China and Israel. He has a big heart for Cajun music and teaches in Lafayette at Acadiana Symphony and Conservatory of Music.

    If you are looking for a Romantic evening for Valentine's Day, Cafe Des Amis is the place you want to be. Usually we would be closed on a Tuesday evening but for such a special occassion such as this, we couldn't let the oppurtunity pass us by to do something special for all of you! We will be open as usual for lunch from 11 to 2 with the regular menu and then we will reopen for 6pm for dinner with a special set menu.

    The set menu will cost $75.00 per couple. This prices does not include taxes, gratuity, or alcohol. The menu will incldue:

A cup of bisque or a small house salad for each person

An appetizer to share. The choices of appetizers are: Shrimp Kidder or Bechemel Crab Cakes

An entree for each person. The entree choices are: Oven Roasted Duck, Crabmeat Stuffed Gulf Fish, or Ribeye.

And to complete the meal, there will be a White Chocolate Bread Pudding to share.

The $75 includes 2 soft drinks.

Dinner wouldn't be complete without live music! There will be a Special Couple's Show Featuring 4 of Acadiana's Musical Couples! And our featured artists Kelly Guidry and Leah Graef have some amazing art pieces that would make the perfect Valentine's gift for that special someone.
